KHLIEHRIAT | Dec 26, 2018:
It was on December 13 morning when more than 13 miners including three locals of Lumthari village in East Jaintia Hills (EJH) were trapped inside the coal mine at Ksan near Lyteiñ river under Saipung Police Station in EJH district of Meghalaya.
Even after 13 days, the fate of the trapped miners hangs in balance as NDRF and SDRF rescuers are yet to find any luck to lower the water level inside the rat-hole mine.
It may be mentioned that amongst the 13 people – 6 are from Assam, 4 from West Garo Hills and 3 of them are locals from East Jaintia Hills.
