Meghalaya authorities issue wind advisory; ask public to be vigilant

SHILLONG | Feb 19, 2019:
The Deputy Commissioner & Chairperson (DDMA), East Khasi Hills District, Shillong issued a public advisory asking people to take extra care during this windy season to avoid any incidences especially fire and to get wiring/electricity properly checked.
"Ensure safe keeping of all objects such as lumber piles, loose tin sheets, loose bricks, garbage cans, sign boards, etc which can fly away in strong winds," read the release.
