NONGPOH:

The Deputy Commissioner of Ri Bhoi District, Nongpoh, informed that ancillary work at Dwar Ksuid Bridge, Shillong By-pass, has been completed by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).

“The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has been entrusted to launch the construction activities of the Bailey Bridge, which is expected to be completed on March 23,” the DC said.

However, because of ongoing construction, movement of mini trucks, two-axle buses or trucks, and multi-axle vehicles will be restricted from 6 pm daily from March 10 to March 23.

Besides, pedestrians will not be allowed within 50 feet before and after the bridge, and light motor vehicles will not be allowed to stop within 500 meters of the bridge on both sides.
