IMPHAL | FEB 19, 2020:
The Union human resource development (HRD) ministry submitted a written to President Ram Nath Kovind and has seek his approval for the removal of Manipur University's vice-chancellor A P Pandey over allegations of administrative irregularities.
Earlier, there were reports which stated Pandey has allegedly been holding back several important files at his Sanjenthong residence. It stated that the current administrator, Jarnail Singh was informed by the University staff that 10 files were sent to his residence at Sanjenthong about few months back.
Since then, there has been no information of the return of the files to the successive vice-chancellors. It was observed that the files needed to be scrutinised regarding the charges levelled against Pandey.
