JNU Violence: NSU stands in solidarity with students

KOHIMA | JAN 8, 2020:

The Naga Student Union (NSU), Delhi has expressed grief and sadness over the tragic incident that took place on Jan 5, and has condemned violent suppression by the masked attackers, who targeted students of Jawaharlal Nehru University leaving many with grievous injuries.

The NSU, in a press release said that the incident is a reminder of the increase in fear and hatred across the country. No legitimate cause can ever accomplished by acts of violence, the union said.

Extending solidarity to the students of JNU, who have been suffering vicious attack from daily atrocities across the country. The union has condemned the violent acts committed against any student group, regardless of religious affiliation, political viewpoints, creed, color or sexual orientation.

NSU has therefore urged the people to stand against such hateful rhetoric and employ politics so to ensure peace and safety among students and communities.
