NORTHEAST | AUGUST 12, 2020:

A digital concert ">"INDIE-PENDENCE ROCK" will be organized by Task Force for Music and Arts (TaFMA), Government of Nagaland on the occasion of Independence Day.

The Master of Ceremony will be a pianist and music educator, Bethel Tsuzu, and will witness Indie Musicians, personalities coming together to pay their respect, love, and gratitude to all the frontline workers at this hour of the pandemic.

Many national and international artists such as MY.st from South Korea, Uday Benegal (Indus Creed) from Mumbai, The Snake Charmer (Archy Jay) from Delhi, Vasu Dixit (Swarathma) from Bangalore and artistes from home-state the ANTB (Alobo Naga and the band), Mar Jamir from Polar lights and Koko, an upcoming female artist will be performing at the grand celebration.

"INDIE-PENDENCE ROCK" is an event organized in continuation of the significant steps TAFMA has been taking to engage the entertainment, music, and art fraternity together during the lockdown period," mentioned the organizers.

The Indie-Pendence Rock is curated by Musik-A events Nagaland, with Rolling stones and Music Connect Asia as associate partners.

The event shall also be attended, by Shri Kiren Rijiju – Minister of State (Independent Charge) Youth affairs and sports, Shri Bhaichung Bhutia – Padma Shri & Former Indian Football team captain and Smt. Mary Kom – Olympic medallist, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), recipient of Padma Virbhushan, Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Awardee, and will also be delivering special Independence Day messages during the concert.

With this, The TaFMA pays its respect and gratitude to all health and frontline workers, for risking their lives to save everyone.
