Former KHADC CEM HS Shylla passes away

SHILLONG| AUGUST 7, 2020

Former Chief Executive Member (CEM) of Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC), Hispreaching Son Shylla passed away at Super Care Hospital today at 10 am.

HS Shylla, a former Minister, had represented Nongkrem constituency as an MLA.  The former KHADC CEM was initially undergoing treatment at Woodland Hospital but later shifted to Super Care Hospital where he breathed his last today morning at around 10 am.

He is survived by his wife and his three daughters.

His body was taken to his house at Lum Khyriem near Ishyrwat in Shillong and the funeral is likely to be held on Sunday.

It may be mentioned that Shylla had first held the post of CEM of KHADC from July 27, 2004 to February 05, 2008 and again from July 13, 2018 to March 03, 2019.
