Covid-19 free Sikkim reports first case of coronavirus

Sikkim reported its first covid-19 case today, which has been confirmed by the Health Secretary Dr. Pempa Bhutia.

According to Health Secretary Dr. Pempa Bhutia said that the patient is a 25-year-old, who had arrived Sikkim on May 17 and was quarantined at JNV Rabong, South Sikkim.

Bhutia said that presently, the patient is admitted at the Covid-19 ward at STNM hospital in Gangtok.

Meanwhile, the state authorities are tracing all the contacts of the patient and they will be sent to quarantine and tested too, he informed.
