BJP-led coalition government wins the power game in Manipur

The BJP-led ruling coalition in Manipur won the Confidence Motion in the Council of Ministers through voice vote in the one-day State Assembly session held yesterday. 

The motion was moved by Chief Minister N. Biren Singh who is supported by MLAs from NPP, NPF, Lok Jana Shakti Party and others in the present government.

Moving the Confidence Motion, Chief Minister N. Biren Singh said that the State Government is fully committed to its preparation on prevention of COVID-19 pandemic in Manipur. He also clarified that there is no community transmission in Manipur. 

The Chief Minister also said that the State Government is targeting to provide water supply schemes in all hill districts by the end of December as due to the present COVID-19 pandemic it has slowed down the progress on development works.
