Assam: Congress-AIUDF alliance is a representative of Mughal, says Tejasvi Surya

National President of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Tejasvi Surya on February 28 attacked Congress-AIUDF alliance and compared the latter to the Mughal, while addressing a Youth rally (Yuva Samaroh) in upper Assam Dibrugarh district.

This was the first such rally organised by BJYM after the dates of the Assam assembly election was announced by the Election Commission of India (ECI) on February 26.

The top brass of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) including Chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal, North-East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) convenor Himanta Biswa Sarma and state president Ranjit Dass, Union minister Rameswar Teli among others were present in the rally.

Addressing the gathering, Tejasvi Surya who is also the MP from Bangalore South constituency said that in the last five years a lot of developmental work have taken place in Assam under the leadership of Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal.

"No one can stop development of Assam because a new foundation of development has been laid under the BJP rule. Under the vibrant leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat which has created a new revolution in India," said Surya.

In his speech, Surya said, "Congress is the chela (stooge) of Badruddin Ajmal, who is a representative of the Mughal. We have to discard them and drive them out from Assam to create a new Assam."

Ahead of the assembly election in Assam, the BJP is attracting youths to join the party. Many youths from other districts of Assam gathered at the programme to listen Tejasvi Surya.
