Applications are invited in Standard Form for the post of Assistant Teacher in Government LP/UP Schools from Meghalaya Teacher Eligibility Test (MTET) Qualified candidates falling under sub-divisional School Education Officer Shillong of East Khasi Hills.
(a) Assistant Teacher for Lower Primary Schools
No of posts:- 156
Pay Scale:- Level-5
Educational Qualification:- Class 12th Passed with 50% for General Candidates & 45% for ST/SC Candidates with D.El.Ed or B.Ed (B.Ed candidates if appointed shall mandatorily undergo a 6 month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by NCTE, within two years of appointment as a primary teacher).
(b) Upper Primary Schools
Other eligibility criteria
1. MTET Passed Certificate: Compulsory.
2. D.EL.Ed Passed Certificate: Compulsory.
3. Basic Computer Literacy will be an added preference.
How to apply: The application should reach Room No. 15, the office of the Sub-Divisional School Education Officer, Shillong on or before June 24, 2020, fulfilling all the basic criteria as specified above.
Selection Procedure: Candidates will be selected for appointment through board of interview constituted by the state government.
