NESO protest in Shillong: Students’ bodies of NE stand united against CAB, IN PICTURES
SHILLONG | NOV 18, 2019:
The North East Students' Organisation (NESO) including Students union from across the Northeastern state assembled in Shillong today demanding scrapping of CAB.
The member organization of the NESO included in the rally were GSU, KSU, NEIPF, SMSU, ABSU.

The Citizenship (Amendment) Bill had been passed in Lok Sabha on January 8 but lapsed later as it could not be placed in Rajya Sabha.
The CAB seeks to grant citizenship to Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, Parsis and Christians from Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Pakistan after six years of stay in the country even if they do not possess proper documents.
