SHILLONG | March 16, 2019:

With the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) in effect as the country gears up for the Lok Sabha polls next month, the Election Commission of India and citizens alike are keeping a watchful eye on activities which violate the poll code.

In Meghalaya, vigilant citizens witnessed some hoardings of schemes like Deen Dhayal Upadhya in Shillong and Pynursla and reported the same to the State Election Department.

Immediately, after receiving the complaints, the MCC team rushed to the location and pulled down the hoardings.
