IN PICTURES: 6-Hour bandh called by NSF passes peacefully in Nagaland
KOHIMA | DEC 14, 2019:
The 6 hour bandh called by the Naga Student's Federation today, in all Naga inhabited areas culminated peacefully.
NSF after an emergency Executive Council meeting held in their head office at Kohima, on Dec 13, decided to call for a 6 hour bandh on 14 Dec to show their resentment towards the action of the Government of India (GoI) for passing the contentious Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) and also to show solidarity towards the neighbouring states which has been affected by the CAB.
Despite the NSF calling for bandh in all Naga inhabited areas the four districts of Eastern Nagaland Mon, Tuensang, Longleng and Kiphire did not observe the 6 hour bandh.
