GANGTOK | JUNE 27, 2020:

Continuous rains across the state of Sikkim for the past few days have affected normal life besides triggering landslides in several places.

In the latest incident in the city, landslide-hit villages of Lum-Lingtyang, Lower Dzongu in North Sikkim have completely been cut off from the rest of the state.

A massive landslide had occurred last night at Aapdara, Dikchu near the NHPC Teesta Stage V dam.

Following the incident, many residents of the Himalayan state have raised caution over the landslide having an impact on the safety of the dam.
