Shillong, Feb 19:

Introducing Pynthymme Pale: A 20-yr-old young man from Mukhla village in West Jaintia Hills who serves as an inspiration for many music lovers.

Battling against all odds, Pynthymme continues to pursue his passion by forming a music band titled — the "Gift of God" or GOG along with his three brothers.

The trio, who are part of the band, include Histo Pale, Wyrta Pale and the youngest, Amethyst Pale, who is only 15 years old.

What is even more amazing is that Pynthymme, who could not complete his BSC due to financial constraints, built his own electric guitar since his family cannot afford to buy such an expensive musical tool.

His determination and love for music drew the attention of Meghalaya chief minister, Conrad K Sangma, who instructed his team to reach out to the young man.

While speaking to The Northeast Today, Pynthymme shared his story and said that his love for music started since he was small kid.

Stating that he has no formal training in music, he said that he learnt to play the guitar and other musical instruments on his own.

"I have always dreamed of having my own band. Finally, my dreams turn into reality after I decided to form the band along with my three brothers," he said.

When asked if he had got the opportunity to perform in any concert, he replied in the negative.

"As of now, we are performing in marriages and some small events. I hope one day we will get a chance to perform in a big concert," Pynthymme said.

Interestingly, Pynthymme also writes and composes his own songs. "I compose my own songs in Khasi, English and Pnar language," he said.
