Tripura: Press Club of India chief to visit Agartala on July 10

Agartala, June 3, 2017:  Press Club of India president Gautam Lahiri would visit Agartala on July 10. During his visit, he would attend a felicitation programme to be organized by Tripura Journalists' Union (TJU), a scribes' organization.

TJU would felicitate total 19 students who have secured first three top positions in secondary, higher secondary and other competitive exams on July 10 at Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhawan in Agartala. They are about to give monetary awards too, said TJU president Syed Sajjad Ali told media at Agartala Press Club on Monday.

The programme would be organized in association with Kolkata's Peerless Hospital.

Governor Tathagata Roy would inaugurate the programme in presence of Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty, Chief Execuitve Member of Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council – Radhacharan Debbarma, secretary of Ramakrishna Math and Mission – Swami Hitakamananda including chairman and managing director of Peerless Group, said secretary of TJU – Pranab Sarkar.

The felicitation programme would be followed by a cultural evening where renowned singer from Zee Bangla – Amrita Datta and Tripura singer Tithi Deebbarman would perform.
