Agartala May6:Following media reporting, Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Gandacherra in Dhalai district Govekar Mayur Ratilal last evening recovered the two-year old baby Sunijoy Reang from the house of Dhansai Reang who was sold out by his biological mother out of poverty at Rs 200 on April 13 last.
Mr Ratilal said that an official team led by DCM L Darlong visited all the places in connection to the two-year old baby Sunijoy yesterday and collected all information and submitted a report by which they raided the house of Dhansai and brought back the baby.
According to the report, the biological mother of the boy Runnabati Reang did not have the ability to afford the expenses of the baby and she handed over her child to Dhansai, father of four daughters and resident of Machkumbhir Para in Lakhipur ADC village.
Ratilal said, Runnabati does not have any official identity like ration card, voter id, job and Aadhar cards that actually increased the suffering of the family and said, "Instruction has been issued all concerns to provide her all necessary documents after due verification and bring the family under government schemes."
