INCUBUS OF LOVE

By Amlan Das

I woke up and saw you in my delusion,
I see fowls in branches;
Sun smooched my cheeks! And oh,
I wasn't hesitating; I remarked,
Love is like a rose spring in June,
It's like a melody, sweetly played in tune,
Your face regenerates my present,
My hear and soul reattached;
I specter stars looking at you, gazing at me.
I know I was dilatory;
My dreams are all gone,
All was unaided with may papers and pen,
Admiring you in my fantasy.
