Google has been actively enhancing features since past few months for the Indian audience. Be it features for Maps or its Google Assistant, the company is in overdrive mode.
In yet another move, the search giant today launched a new feature that will improve the job searchexperience for users across India. Google has tied up with numerous head hunting firms and websites like TimesJobs, Shine.cCom, LinkedIn among others.
The idea is simple just use the search bar to find jobs in a faster and efficient manner. Interestingly, in order to reach out employers and employees, Google has also released open documentation, which will assist organizations big or small to make their job openings discoverable. In a press statement issued, the company said that it "uses open structured schema.org web markup standards that Google supports."
Further, users can narrow down results using smart filters, save listings, share them, and sign up for alerts. The Jobs feature is available on the Search app on Android and iOS, and in Google Search on the desktop and mobile. Here's how the feature works:
Step 1: Simply type 'jobs' into a Google search bar and you will see a box labelled Jobs appear on the page.
Step 2: You can filter the search using keywords like "jobs near me" or "IT jobs" or depending on your requirement.
