FIFA WC 2018: Defending Champs humiliated by South Korea; Germany out of World Cup

In a shocking turn of events, the Defending Champions — Germany was humiliated by South Korea during the Group E match of the 2018 FIFA World Cup held in Kazan stadium.

The unexpected has happened and shook Germany real hard. The 2014 World Cup Champions suffered a humiliating defeat in the hands of South Korea after they managed to beat them 2-0 in the second half of the game.

This defeat meant the football giants are heading home while Sweden, which managed to grabbed the top spot in the group E after defeating Mexico 3-0, is through to the pre-quarter finals along with the South American country.

Germany's defeat in this round is a grim reminder of the same fate France, Italy and Spain experienced in 2002, 2010 and 2014 respectively, when the defending champions were kicked out in the group stage.
