Euro 2016: Poland lose to Portugal on penalties
Poland vs Portugal proved to be a thriller with Robert Lewandowski opening the scoring at the 2nd minute. Poland were strong in the first 20 minute but missed many chances to score. Renato Sanches who made his first start for his country scored for Portugal in the 33rd minute. The newly signed Bayern Munich player made a great amount of impact on his full debut. The second half was as entertaining as the first with both sides trying to break the deadlock. Portugal pushed forward more than the Polish side but missed chances by Ronaldo caused the game to end at 1-1 after 90 minutes.
Portugal has yet to win a match in 90 minutes and this was no different. In extra time, it was more or less the same story as the second half of the game with neither side able to score. The match went on to penalties which saw Portugal move on to the semi finals as they converted all 5 while Poland missed the 4th penalty. The match was overall very entertaining and showed passion from both sides.
Tonight's match will see favourites Belgium take on Wales at 12:30 am. The star studded Belgium side who are the most expensive team in the tournament will take on Wales who will hope to count on some magic by Real Madrid front man Gareth Bale. With Ashley Williams fit for the match, his leadership qualities will be of much help to rally the Welsh side.
