End of first round, INC leads in Meghalaya followed by NPP

By the end of the first round, INC is leading the almost all the districts in Meghalaya with 17 seats. In garo Hills, INC is leading in 12 seats while in Khasi Hills, it is trailing in 3 seats followed by 1 seat each in Jaintia Hills and Ri Bhoi.

Meanwhile, following closely is the NPP which is leading in 13 seats — 6 in Garo Hills, 4 in Khasi Hills and 4 in Jaintia Hills. The UDP is leading in 10 seats — 6 in Khasi Hills, 3 in Jaintia Hills and 1 in Ri Bhoi.

BJP is leading in 2 seats — one each in Khasi and Garo Hills. NCP is leading in 1 seat — Garo Hills, HSPDP is leading in 6 seats all in Khasi Hills while KHNAM is leading in one seat in Khasi Hills.

PDF is leading in 4 seats — two each in Khasi Hills and Ri Bhoi. Independent leading in 5 seats — 3 in Garo Hills, one each in Khasi Hills and Ri Bhoi.
