KETHOLENO KENSE

Ketholeno Kense is another Angamni beauty who became a household name when she went on to win the 'Hunt for the Kingfisher Supermodels' and featured in the Kingfisher Calendar in 2014. By far was the best recognition that any model from the Northeast has ever gotten. She will become a top model one day," predicted one of the top fashion photographer Atul Kasbekar we will not disagree with him on this count.

ESTHER JAMIR

Esther Jamir is perhaps the one who started it all by becoming the first prominent face of the fashion industry from the Northeast. Right from the late nineties to even now, Esther Jamir has not only walked the ramp for the finest designers in India but also been an inspiration to many upcoming models from not just Nagaland but the whole of Northeast. Today Esther Jamir is a household name when it comes to the fashion industry in the northeast.

AKUONUO KHEZHIE

Akuonuo Khezhie's first major break came when she was selected as one of the finalists in Miss India 2007 contest where she won the Sony Miss India and Pantaloons face of the year. She shifted to New York and signed a contract with Star Models for 6 months and then signed up with Ikon Model Management. She has walked the prestigious New York Fashion Week 2010 and the Couture Fashion Week 2011. The same year, she started the biggest performing arts institute in
northeast India, 'Northeast India Academy of Performing Arts' in Dimapur, Nagaland. She pursued her modelling career with Ikon Management, New York, being the Managing Director of NIAPA.

 

KETHOSE NAGI

Kethose Nagi, another Angami lady who has not only won accolades in the northeast but even abroad. After having completed Master's in Fashion Management and Entrepreneurship at Northumbria University UK, she went on to become Miss Newcastle British Empire 2014 recently. Humble and down to earth it is also the attitude that makes Kethonse Nagi an absolute winner.

 

CAROL HUMTSOE

Carol Humtsoe after signing a contract with Elite Model Management which has produced supermodels like Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Ujjwala Raut, Gisele Bunchen. In a few years, she has succeeded in bagging few of the world's best-known brands such as Benetton, Gucci and has also done few shows for NDTV Good Times. She also made an entry to Bollywood with a cameo under the famed Balaji telefilms, Kya super kool hai hum.

 

GLORIA TEP

Born to a Malayali father and Naga mother, Gloria burst into the modelling scene with an impact few can achieve at such a young age. She was Northeast's representative in India's Next Top Model contest. Gloria became the second runner up in the coveted contest. She got guidance from the fashion industry stalwarts like actor Lisa Haydon and MTV VJ Anusha Dandekar but it was her confidence and talent that helped her sail through.
