From Asrik Pushpa to Lakadong Turmeric: Taste different flavours of White Tea in Shillong

With the tagline of Vocal for Local, Kashyam Blends is a unique start-up initiated by Aishwarya Chinmay, the founder and Priyam Chauhan and Khushboo Tewani, managing partner and marketing head respectively .

While the company was registered in 2018, the idea for it was conceptualised in 2016.

Kashyam Tea Blends is organising a tea festival in Shillong which is going to last till December 31, 2020, in Marba Hub, Police Bazar, Shillong.

Speaking with TNT-The Northeast Today, Aishwarya who has been living in Shillong for ten years now, explained the speciality of white tea, also known as silver needles and the process of blending the extracts.

Local tangy hibiscus, lakadong turmeric and other flowers and spices, all available in Meghalaya are used to make her brand of white tea. Kashyam Blends also focusses on promoting local handicrafts to support the culture and artisans of Meghalaya and other northeastern states.
