Netflix series Delhi Crime wins 'Best Drama Series' at International Emmy Awards, 2020

Netflix-based web series 'Delhi Crime', directed by Richie Mehta, bagged the best drama series award at the 48th International Emmys on Monday, November 24.

The series, released last year and based on 2012 Delhi gang-rape and murder case, casts national award winning actor Shefali Shah who played the role of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Vartika Chaturvedi, which was based on the former Delhi Police DCP Chaya Sharma.

The show also casts actors including Rajesh Tailang, Rasika Dugal, Adil Hussain, Vinod Sherawat, Mridul Sharma, Gopal Datt Tiwari, Gaurav Rana, Yashaswini Dayama, Jaya Bhattacharya, Anurag Arora and Sidharth Bhardwaj.
