Meghalaya | Eva Yan Pictures go all out to promote their movie – Thong Iong Nga
SHILLONG, Nov 10, 2017: Just days before the release of the much-awaited Khasi-Jaintia movie — 'Thong Iong Nga' produced by Eva Yan pictures, the team left no stone un-turned in as far as promotion aspect is concerned.
Trying something different, the team led by its director– Simi Khongtiang is going all out to ensure that they get full public support. Recently, the team took over the stage on the opening day of the ongoing Cherry Blossom Festival in Ward's Lake, Shillong to promote their movie.
"Eva Yan pictures is trying something different to promote the movie and our main objective of coming here is to connect with all people (Khasi, Pnar and others) to seek their support in promoting the local films' industry," Khongtiang said.
Furthermore, she stated that this approach is also done with an intention to spread the message — 'Piracy is a crime'.
"We thank the Cherry Blossom Festival for giving us a platform to screen the trailer of the movie in the festival and I can say that the people were very happy and supportive," she said adding that every clap, cheers and the hymn 'Hoi kiww' sounded on that day means a lot to the team.
This movie produced by Pynlumlang Ksoo and directed by Simi Khongtiang, a renowned filmmaker from Jaintia Hills is the first musical film (with subtitles) shot mostly in Jaintia and Khasi Hills of Meghalaya.
