SHILLONG: The recent war of words and debates over the selective outrage against Pakistan artistes working in India continues as Indian artists expressed displeasure over this directive stating there should be a distinction between artist and others.

Commenting on these lines, Rock On 2 lead actor, Farhan Akhtar also expressed disappointment over the outrage against Pakistani actors working in India stating that "Personally I do believe that there is a certain distinction to be made between artist and others they are ambassadors of their country but they were legally allowed to come here and work."

Akhtar who is in Shillong to promote his movie disclosed his opinion during his address to media persons at Ri Kynjai Resort in Ri Bhoi district of Meghalaya on Friday.

With Bollywood turning into a battleground for India and Pakistan, Akhtar said "As Indian citizens we end up following any rule or law that is passed even if we don't agree with it. If it's some kind of governance or rule which is passed, then we have to honour that, but I personally believe that there is a certain distinction to be made between artist and others."

"It's not only in films there is a lot of import and export that happens between the two countries there is a lot of exchange that happens and that is way beyond what the film industry can even imagine," he said

"It affects a lot of things and should be taken lightly and just said yes or no we need to weigh the pros and cons of there are producers whose money are riding on these films this decisions are destroying their potential revenues and investment as well. There is a lot to be considered," he said.
