BMW to launch 313cc G310R motorcycle in India

Exciting news for motorcycle enthusiasts! BMW has finally revealed its smallest capacity motorcycle in the form of the BMW G310R, a 313cc bike that promises to bring in even more competition to the already populous 250-300cc segment currently dominated by the likes of KTM, Honda, and Kawasaki.

The G310R is bound to garner even more attention performance-wise thanks to its fuel injected, single-cylinder, 4-valve liquid cooled engine along with double overhead camshafts. What's even better is that it will be locally manufactured by TVS Motor Company at its plant in Bengaluru which means that we can expect it to be priced aggressively. BMW is looking to take this venture seriously as the G310R will become the first BMW Motorrad motorcycle to be manufactured outside of Europe.

The G310Rs styling is inspired by its elder siblings the BMW S1000R and R1200R, while also introducing some new elements. BMW Motorrad has further revealed that the engine will produce a decent 34bhp (at 9500rpm) and 28Nm of torque at 7500rpm which indicates it should have a nice punchy performance. Braking duties are carried out by a 300mm single-disc brake with 4-piston fixed caliper while the rear comes with a 240mm disc with 2-piston floating caliper. Meanwhile, ABS comes standard.

More good news is that its engine has been designed to accept all types of fuel so all that's needed is to ride down to your nearest petrol station and fill 'er up. The G310Rs launch date has not yet been announced but BMW plans to introduce it soon.
