Lucid Recess

An alternative/metal band hailing from Assam, Guwahati formed in the spring of 2004 by two brothers, Siddharth and Amitabh Barooa. Since their formation the band has constructed success in their musical career, had won the Toto awards for Music in 2011. The band have released their EP title 'Carved' in 2007 and their full length album 'Engraved Invitation' in 2010. Recently they've released their music video for the song Dead Deep End on 9th November 2015.

Alobo Naga and the band

Formed in the summer of 2010 in Dimapur, Nagaland, Alobo Naga and the band being one of the first Northeast bands to be on the top 10 list during the Hornbill International Rock contest, Nagaland, has become of the most important and notable bands from state and Northeast region as a whole. They released their EP 'Painted Dreams' in the year 2011 and have release a pile of singles which pushes the band for major success. In 2012, the band was nominated for Best Indian Act/worldwide at the MTV Europe music awards.

Minute of Decay

An indie/funk band from Manipur based in Delhi is one of the leading all-female rock bands from the Northeast. Formed in the year 2011, the band has released their Debut EP in 2014 'Finding Betsy.' Recently they've been featured on BBC radio network to which they performed the song 'Little Betsy.'

Midnight Garden Factor

A progressive metal/rock band based in Shillong is one of the many who have seen success, winning competitions in and around the Northeast. To name a few, Hornbill National Rock Beat Contest 2nd runners up in 2007, Meghalaya Icon Winners in 2010, Shillong Battle Rock Winners in 2013, Rock Rising Guwahati Winners in 2013, and lots more. The band has several line-up changes over the years, and is currently working on their self-titled EP.


Magdalene

A Rock band based in Aizawl, Mizoram formed in August 2005, won the award for 'Best band' twice in their hometown in 2007. Since their inception the band has released two albums, namely, Life Beyond death in 2006 and Magdalene in 2010. The band went on a three year hiatus after their second album released and in the end of 2013 they were active again, hopefully with new materials coming up in the days to come.
