Here’s the line-up of International Cherry Blossom Festival 2018 in Shillong

Starting tomorrow, the India International Cherry Blossom Festival 2018 will celebrate the unique autumn flowering of Himalayan Cherry Blossoms with several cultural events at Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya.
Visitors can enjoy fashion shows, rock concerts, a beauty pageant and even compete in an amateur Golf Tournament. Alongside, there will be stalls showcasing the region's food, wine and crafts and there are several Japanese cultural events, a Japanese Food Pavilion and a Higher Education Stall in partnership with the Embassy of Japan in India.
Here's the schedule of the 4-day event to be held in Shillong:
Nov 14: The festival will be inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Conrad K Sangma at Polo 5th Ground (Dalang Open Stage) which will be the main venue of the festival.
10.15 am: Opening ceremony
11.45 am: Sky diving
12.00 noon: Painting and drawing competition
12.15 pm: Dialogue with states (Shillong-Sakura Connect)
3.00 pm: Dog Show
4.00 pm: Story telling
4.45 pm: Bio-resources Fashion show and cutie kids competition
6.30 pm: Unplugged western music
Signature Event: This year, the Opening Ceremony will also be graced by the Japanese Ambassador to India, H.E. Mr Kenji Hiramatsu. The Ambassador will be leading a Japanese delegation that will engage in a dialogue, on the same day at State Convention Centre, that is entitled Celebrating the Shillong-Sakura Connect- Idea Exchange on Socio Economic Partnerships. This is being organised by the Govt of Meghalaya, FICCI Forum of Parliamentarians and the Embassy of Japan in India.

5.00 pm: Miss Cherry Blossom beauty pageant (Mrs Cherry Blossom and plus size queen)
6.30 pm: Magic show
7.00 pm: Songs by choirs
Signature Event: Japanese Cosplay and screening of Japanese films
Nov 17:
6.30 am: Cherry Blossom golf tournament
8.30 am: Arrival of Meghalaya Cycling
11.00 am: Japanese Judokan
1.00 pm: Baby football exhibition
3.00 pm: Closing ceremony and prize distribution
4.30 pm: Cultural Mosaic (Classical music and Indo-Japanese drummers fusion)
6.05 pm: Arribal of RERAM Stormbringers
6.15 pm: Rock Show
Signature Event: Japanese Judokan and cultural mosaic featuring the fusion of Indian and Japanese drummers.
On all these four days, food courts and wine fest, arts and craft and magic shows and kids zone will be opened from 11 am to 9 pm at Polo.
And from 4 pm to 8 pm on all these days, Cherry Blossoms will be illuminated and fine dining will be available at Ward's Lake.
Visitors can also visit Forest Colony, Lawsohtun, Upper Shillong in the areas around Elephant Falls to watch the Cherry Blossoms that are in full bloom.
