SHILLONG:

SUPPORT LOCAL ARTIST, the brainchild of DBRYN Records saw the release of the music video for the song “Nga iai Kynmaw” on February 12 under the #SUPPORTLOCALARTIST project.

The project involves a group of like-minded individuals and their efforts to support Wanhi-i Challam in the first-ever animated love story created on a mobile phone.

Produced by DBRYN Records, the song “Nga iai Kynmaw” is performed by James Kharsyntiew and the music video is animated by Wanhi.

“He has a God-gifted voice but is not fortunate enough to learn music professionally. We have heard his voice in the local area where he had performed in small gatherings and functions. We realised he genuinely needed promotion, and that is how he became a part of our fourth project,” the team said.

The team aims to promote people who are unable to showcase their talent because of financial constraints.

Speaking to TNT-The Northeast Today, the team had this to say - “Our message to all the young talented people in the northeast is to follow your dreams. Do not get discouraged. If you are talented and work hard to excel in whatever you do, you will be showered with innumerable opportunities that will take you ahead in life.”

DBRYN Records is a music production group comprising music producer Badonkupar Massar, manager John Reynold Kharlyngdoh, assistant manager Eedle Pathaw, Adviser Fersten, director of photography Elvest Thabah and director Bashan L. Mawnai.
