Meghalaya artist to release new Khasi single "Ka Rukom" on New Year’s Eve

Meghalaya-based artist George Shadap, who hails from Jaintia Hills district, showed immense performance in the field of modelling but lately, he has also been exploring the world of music.

He began writing songs and playing the guitar at a very young age and even started a YouTube channel for promoting local talents.

This New Year’s eve, George Shadap is all set to release his first original single titled “Ka Rukom” which has been directed and produced by George himself and shot by Kiki Garod.

Genevieve Daphisha Nongrum, who has always been passionate about music, featured alongside George as the female lead singer.

“Ka Rukom” has provided a platform to the identical twin brothers - Phyrnai L. Nongkynrih and Pynshai L. Nongkynrih and, it has also debuted Mayborn Lyngdoh R, who is otherwise known for his excellent anchoring and writing skills.

The video will also feature Ibapynhun Eve Syiemlieh and Devora Kharkongor, who have made their marks in the fashion industry.

“Ka Rukom” is a fun-loving Khasi music video of friends coming together to celebrate the beauty of life through the portrayal of different characters.

“Life is tough, but when you are with the people you love, nothing can kill your vibe to feel life right”, said the team of Ka Rukom.

The music video carries a positive message of being genuine and true to one-self amidst the ever-changing times.
