Maxter Warjri and the Band,” released the music video of their song “New Day” on Friday, January 15.

The band comprising Wanshan Diengdoh (Bass), Andrew Ranee (Guitars), Biondi Kharsyntiew (Drums) and Maxter Warjri (Vocals and Keyboard) had released the song “Kamkai” last year on Meghalaya Day and after almost a year, their song “New Day” made its debut.

The music video is directed by El Dhar and includes a vibrant cast of Gordon Shadap (as John), Darilang Ika Jyrwa (as Clara) and a supporting cast of Adeleen Sun, Febbard Lyngdoh and Ariella Heisa Jyrwa.

According to the band, the song is all about hope and trust in the Almighty.

It is arguably the first song from Shillong to be released on “VEVO” which is the world’s largest all-premium music video provider that offers artistes a global platform with enormous scale through its distribution partners.

The lyrics for “New Day” are credited to Ferdie Dkhar, and the song was recorded, mixed and mastered by Ardon Rumnong and Lamonte Pakyntein of Mix & Flow Productions.

Speaking to TNT - The Northeast Today, Maxter Warjri, the lead singer of the band said, “I believe hope and trust is our motto this year and this is what our first song of 2021 is trying to convey”.
