Avenues Shillong has begun a series called #AvenuesIcon– a series of episodes that features people from Northeast India who are inspiring others with their work.
In this episode, Avenues in association with TNT- The Northeast Today is featuring the legendary Lou Majaw– A Dr. Bhupen Hazarika National Award recipient for his contribution to music.
Lou's life is an inspiring story of struggle and persistence and an undeniable love and passion for music. A free spirit, Lou said "Music found me" and we cannot deny the chemistry he has with his guitar whenever he goes up on stage to play his music. With 54 years of experience on stage as a performer and a musician and 47 years of Bob Dylan Tribute Concerts, Lou Majaw is a legend and we are in awe of his story, his humility, his passion, his fashion and his spirit!
