Tripura: CPI(M) alleges Doordarshan of Refusing to Broadcast CM Manik Sarkar’s speech!
August 15, 2017: In what may be termed as a breach of democratic governmental practices, Doordarshan, the national broadcasting media has been alleged of refusing to broadcast Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar's speech on Independence Day. The matter came to light when the official Twitter page of CPI(M) posted the post below:
The above post brought in mixed reactions from Twitteratis with some pointing out that Manik Sarkar was one of the few non-corrupt Chief Ministers in India and that the BJP led Centre was doing injustice to the CPI(M) led state of Tripura.
Some also went on to say that the act was a breach of Independence through this act.
