Nagaland | Music concert ‘We Care’ to be held on Sept 16 to raise funds for flood-affected Kiphire

For roughly a month, Kiphire district in Nagaland has been cut off from the rest of the state owing to floods and landslides.

Kiphire, which borders Myanmar on the east, emerged as the worst-hit district of Nagaland this monsoon but is gradually getting back on its feet.

In recent weeks, several parts of Nagaland witnessed different fund-raising music concerts have been organised to raise funds for flood-affected areas.

On August 25, several Nagaland musicians had collaborated for a fund-raiser for the Kerala floods.

Now at the same venue — The Heritage, Kohima — another concert is slated for September 16, organised by Indihut, a home-grown platform for Northeastern musicians.

The venue is set to be open at 2.30pm and will have open mics, food courts and more. The main event will take place at 4.30pm and will feature several music artists like Ethnic Future, Powerfaith, Metet, Tune Up channel, Brooke Shitiri among many others.

Free will donation is available and people can also donate online or through banks.

The concert has been slated to be much bigger and promotion is already underway.
