Meghalaya: Shillong glitters amidst frost as temperature continues to drop!

 |

Shillong, January 9, 2018

Shillong had last recorded its coldest January in 2011 at 0.8 degree Celsius – a temperature it recorded again on Sunday which repeated itself again on Monday. On Saturday, its minimum temperature was 1.5 degrees Celsius. The weatherman says the cold wave will prevail over isolated pockets in Meghalaya and western Assam in the next 24 hours. Dhubri town in west Assam recorded a minimum temperature of 6.4 degrees Celsius, 5.3 degrees below normal.

But, there is no need to whine as Shillongites have found their muse in the cold, wintry frost that engulfs itself upon the place as well as several parts of Meghalaya thereby giving them an opportunity to beautify their social media content as well as boast about the place they reside in.
