Young lovers allegedly kill selves in Tripura

AGARTALA: Two teens, suspected to be lovers, allegedly killed themselves by hanging from a tree at East Lakshibil area under Bishalgarh police station of Sepahijala District, Tripura.

The bodies were recovered from a rubber garden belonging to one Sudhanshu Debnath around 7 am on Friday.

According to the girl's brother, his sister had gone to school on Thursday but did not return home.

They thought that she might have gone for private tuition after school. However, after she did not return home, the family lodged a missing report at the police station.

Reportedly, the bodies allegedly hanged themselves to death using the same rope. The girl was in her school uniform.

The girl's brother also said that the two minors were in a relationship.

The reason for the suicide is yet to be ascertained.
