A clash between Border Security Force (BSF) personnel and villagers in Tripura’s Sepahijala District left two people injured on January 9.

According to the locals, a BSF team was conducting a cannabis search operation at Takchapare village under Melaghar police station when the incident happened.

The villagers alleged that the BSF team entered the village during a religious programme and opened fired with no provocation, leaving two people injured.
