Two Rohingya nationals detained in Tripura

Police informed that they crossed the Indo-Bangla international border illegally into Tripura from Bangladesh and were planning to move to Guwahati.

Agartala: Tripura Police detained two Rohingya nationals from Sonamura under Sepahijala District in Tripura on Friday.

Police informed that they crossed the Indo-Bangla international border illegally into Tripura from Bangladesh and were planning to move to Guwahati.

Police also said that they did not have any valid documents.

They entered inside the Indian territory through Boxanagar and took shelter in the house of Ikram Hussain, who was later arrested by police.

The Rohingya nationals were identified as Nazimulla (19), and Minara (18).
