Tripura: Three more NLFT cadres arrested

Tripura Police, on Sunday, arrested three cadres of the proscribed National Liberation Force of Tripura (NLFT) from Takarjala under Sepahijala district.

Police sources stated they acted on a tip-off and apprehended the suspects who they identified as Rano Debbarma, Rathindra Debbarma and Prasenjit Debbarma.

“Based on our intelligence report, a search operation was launched, and three persons travelling in a four-wheeler were arrested,” a police official said.

“We had specific information that three cadres were camping in Takarjala, based on which we launched an operation to arrest them. We have forwarded them to Bishalgrah police station and will produce them in the Court on Monday,” he said.
