Tripura: Outsourcing is unethical, says Opposition leader Manik Sarkar

AGARTALA:

Outsourcing staff recruitment to private agencies is unethical and would push the youths towards uncertainty, said Opposition leader Manik Sarkar at a press conference on Friday.

Sarkar was accompanied by MLA and former education minister Tapan Chakraborty.

“In the first year, 50,000 vacancies would be filled, as promised, in the BJP’s vision document three years ago. They also promised to give jobs in every household. But there is no similarity between their promise and the government’s decision on outsourcing. War has been declared against the youth,” Sarkar said.

Earlier, a circular issued by the BJP-IPFT government shortlisted five agencies that would supply staff to all government departments in Tripura, from group D to official level positions.

The third-party agencies would recruit staff on behalf of the government.

Various organisations protested the move while leftist student youths demanded the immediate withdrawal of the order.

Government employees’ organisations have also protested the order.
