Tripura Congress to run social media campaigns ahead of ADC election

Agartala: Tripura Congress president Pijush Kanti Biswas on Thursday informed that the state's Congress party will run social media campaigns ahead of the Autonomous District Council elections, to be held in April 2021.

Biswas informed that the campaign will be run under the banner "Join Congress on social media” for a month, through social media platforms like Facebook, WhatsApp, and other domains.

"The campaign will bring unreported truths to the notice of people," Biswas said.

He added that at least 100 social media experts will be recruited from each seat, along with 1,000 volunteers, from each Lok Sabha seat, to run the campaign.

"Mobile devices are now in the hands of everybody. Newspapers do not always reach far and wide. These workers will reach them. The trade-in lies will be exposed."

Meanwhile, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party and other parties have also started their political campaigns.
