AGARTALA:

The Tripura Congress, on Wednesday, organised a protest rally against the hike in fuel prices and burned an effigy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Protesters took to the streets and chanted slogans against Modi and his government.

“The state government is silent about the protest,” Youth Congress leader Pijun Biswas said, adding that the state government should bring down the price hike.

Last month, all petroleum products, including cooking gas, registered a steep hike in prices.
