Tripura Congress president Pijush Biswas attacked in Bishalgarh

Tripura Congress President Pijush Biswas was attacked by unknown miscreants at Bishalgarh in Sepahijala district today.

Biswas, who had gone to attend an organisational meeting, was attacked in front of the Congress office at Bishalgarh.

Later, the police and his party workers took him to Bishalgarh hospital.

The Tripura Congress President alleged that the BJP workers were involved in the assault and that seven or eight Congress supporters were also assaulted by the miscreants.

This is not the first time in Tripura when the opposition party leaders and supporters were attacked by the ruling party cadres.

Series of incidents like this are taking place in Tripura since the BJP came into power.
