AGARTALA:

The Indigenous Progressive Regional Alliance (TIPRA), led by royal scion Pradyot Manikya Debbarman, has been rigorously campaigning ahead of Tripura Tribal Area Autonomous District Council (TTAADC).

TIPRA held back-to-back campaigns in Sabroom on Thursday and in Gandachera under the Dhalai district the day before.

From bike rallies, door-to-door campaigns to processions and gatherings, TIPRA is going all out to ensure victory in the TTAADC elections, scheduled to be held on April 6.

“They (other political parties) spread violence and hate. We share the love! Our campaign is to share happiness and not hatred,” said Pradyot Debbarman while campaigning in Sabroom.

"TIPRA stands for all; spread happiness, not hatred," he added.

TIPRA is contesting in 24 seats while its alliance partner – the Indigenous People's Front of Tripura (INPT) will contest in four seats.

Pradyot will be contesting from the Takarjala-Jampuijala constituency.
