
AGARTALA:
Six shops were reduced to ashes in a fire incident at Border Golchakkar area in Tripura’s capital city of Agartala on Tuesday.
According to the witnesses, the fire broke out around 3:00 am.
BJP MLA Surajit Datta visited the spot and interacted with the victims.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate Ashim Saha also visited the area and donated Rs 5,000 to the affected shopkeepers.
Authorities suspect that the fire resulted from a short circuit.
This was the fourth fire incident that had occurred within one month in the city.
Last month a fire broke out at Radhanagar area, Maharajganj Bazar and math Chowmuhani Market.
