Tripura to get Rs. 94.7 crore for its first fly-over from DoNER

AGARTALA: The Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) will allocate an amount to the tune of Rs. 94.70 crore for the ongoing construction of Tripura's first fly-over.

DoNER minister Dr. Jitendra Singh told the Tripura government during a meeting held at Civil Secretariat recently. The government has earlier estimated Rs. 227 crore. Of their estimated budget, they will receive Rs. 94 crore and 70 lakh from the DoNER at the earliest.

Chief Minister Manik Sarkar laid the foundation stone of the 2.2 kms flyover in Agartala on June 2 this year. The state has over 3 lakh motor vehicles at present which creates problem especially in the capital city. The Tripura government decided for the construction of flyover following the traffic congestion.

The construction of the flyover is expected to be over in 30 months.
