Tripura: Left Front declares candidates’ list for ADC polls
AGARTALA: A total of 25 candidates from CPI (M) would be contesting in the coming Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) elections slated to be on May. The RSP, CPI and Forward Bloc staged candidates each in the rest three seats.
Out of the total candidates, six new faces have been staged by the Left Front in six seats of ADC constituencies, whereas, three are women candidates to contest the poll, according to the candidates' list declared recently.
Speaking to the media, CPI (M) state secretary Bijan Dhar lambasted a regional political party for trying to influence the people in hilly areas by voicing the demand of a separate statehood.
"Such attempts are on to disturb the stability of the state and also to invite communal violence ahead of the ADC polls. People would surely resist such attempts to keep peaceful environment in the state," Dhar said.
